Events and conferences

Show up in the room

Events are where people meet North in person: exhibitions, government summits, briefings and our own conferences. Physical materials follow the same system, scaled for distance, lighting and crowds.

  • Night for presence, Aurora for welcome. Booth walls, stages and roll-ups use the night sky; invitations, programmes and registration use Aurora and Dune.
  • Read from 5 metres. One message per surface, in Display Bold, at least 100mm cap height on walls.
  • Bilingual in the UAE. Signage, badges and invitations carry Arabic and English; follow the Arabic section for order and type.
  • Keep the floor clear. Nothing important below 800mm: people, counters and furniture hide it.

Booth and back wall

One sky, one line, the sub-brands

  • Back wall: night sky with the star high on a third line, the North logo top left, one tagline, the sub-brand lockups in a row.
  • Side walls and counters: Midnight with the contour pattern; product demos on screens at eye height (1400–1600mm).
  • Lighting: warm white (3000–3500K). Avoid blue LED washes; the star provides the cool accent.
  • Print: fabric (SEG) for walls, matte to avoid glare. Approve colour on a printed strike-off: Midnight shifts on fabric.

Roll-up banners

850 × 2000 mm

  • Logo at the top, 150mm from the edge; message in the upper third; QR code and URL at chest height; the bottom 200mm is a solid Midnight base (hidden by the stand and feet).
  • One sub-brand per roll-up. Use the sub-brand glow colour in the sky.
  • Text minimum 40mm cap height for the message, 20mm for the URL.

Logos for photographs

  • Dune 05 background (it photographs well and doesn't blow out under flash).
  • Alternate the North logo with one sub-brand or the event partner, offset in brick rows so any crop shows both.
  • Logo height 120–160mm, gap equal to the logo width.
  • Matte material only; gloss creates hot spots in photos.

Stage and screens

Holding slides and safe areas

  • Holding slide: night sky, the logo, the event name in English and Arabic. Show it whenever no one is presenting.
  • Keep key content in the central 90% (title-safe); LED walls crop unpredictably.
  • Speaker slides use the presentation template in dark mode; minimum 32pt body on stage.
  • Lower thirds for live video: Midnight band, Snow name in Display Medium, role in Text, the star at the leading edge. See Motion.

Invitations and programmes

Aurora and both languages

  • A5 landscape, bilingual side by side with the bilingual logo lockup at the top.
  • Date with weekday, time with time zone (GST), city; RSVP link or QR code.
  • Government guests: titles and protocol per the Writing in Arabic page; confirm the guest list order with the host's protocol office.
  • Programmes: A5 folded, Dune paper, agenda as a numbered list with times.

Merchandise

Quiet, useful, well made

  • Prefer useful, durable items: notebooks, totes, quality pens, water bottles. Avoid single-use plastic.
  • One mark per item: the icon, the star or a small logo. No taglines on merchandise.
  • Colours: Midnight, Dune and natural materials; Oasis only for the star.
  • Approve physical samples: embroidery and screen-print change colours and fine details (the star's points need at least 4mm).
