Logo structure
Sub-brands share one structure. North defines the core identity; each sub-brand extends it with a name and a single signal colour, staying consistent while making its own business clear.
What stays the same, what changes
- Shared: the North icon, Helvetica Now, Midnight and Dune, the voice, layouts and the illustration style.
- Distinct: the sub-brand name, and one signal colour that appears on the star and in accents.
On dark backgrounds the star in the icon takes the signal colour. On light backgrounds the logo stays Midnight. See Logo lockups.
NorthStar
Agentic AI platform
The local-first agentic operating system
NorthStar is a full desktop environment for sensitive work: applications, agents, models, tools, data and security controls, with AI at the centre of how work gets done. It runs on Windows and macOS. Data lives on the machine; AI runs on models the organisation hosts, or on cloud models when policy allows.
Signal colour: Oasis. Water in the desert, the spark of intelligence. It marks live AI states, agent activity and the star on dark.

NorthCloud is North's cloud business: infrastructure and managed services for organisations that need cloud scale with national data residency.
Signal colour: Gulf. Depth, reach and infrastructure. Use Gulf 40 for the star and accents on dark, Gulf 70 for actions on light.

Signal colour: Dawn. Heat, speed and first light. Use Dawn 40 on dark; on light, Dawn is a background glow, never text.
Cross-brand enablers
North + one word, in the corporate palette
Enablers serve the whole company, so they use the North master palette (Midnight and Dune) with no signal colour of their own. They can live on their own subdomain.
